Front Page Interview is a progressive rock/jazz/funk three piece hailing from Western New York state. More accurately called a "power trio", the defy the odds with their intricate sound while still being in the young stage they are in. Coming together in the fall of 2000, they have already cranked out one incredible tune after another, seeing only greater achievements in the future. But don't take these words for it. Take a listen and see what all the talk is about.

So what makes F.P.I. stand apart? Simply put, they are about one thing: music. That is the common denominator of all three members, with two of them on their way to earning degrees in the field.

Front Page Interview's formula for standing out and creating an arsenal of mind-blowing intricate music is a formula that has been present in the great progressive rock era of the 1970's. An era where music was created for the sheer joy of writing, performing, and pleasing music fans that seems to be missing in a lot of today's acts. That's what F.P.I. is here to bring back. It doesn't take an educated musician to notice the intricate time changes, three-part harmonies, style ranges, or the playing of multiple instruments at once. Is it a three-piece, or is it an orchestrated band of massive musical destruction? It's a band that's music induces a visual concept through varying melodic tones, harmonies, and well-created songs that come natural to them. But don't let all this progressive talk fool you. Front Page Interview is one of those rare bands that has something for everyone, with their music flowing from one style to another, from 70's rock, to acid jazz, reggae, swing, funk... With their influences ranging from Dream Theater to Frank Zappa to Jethro Tull, no one gets left out and everyone craves more of this diversity.

Nothing will stand in this bands way from getting their music out to the people and giving them what they want.
